Use as an alternative to rigid delivery tubes, allows students to direct gases into different locations and offers more of a forgiving setup when used with a retort stand to hold the flask.
Note: It is quite possible that the tube and bung can also be used in a boiling tube rather than the conical, but due to the varying sizes of glassware necks this cannot be guaranteed !
